| As president, CEO, and co-founder of The Legacy Group, John brings 28 years of experience in philanthropy to the table for his clients. With more than two decades of executive nonprofit leadership experience, his key strength lies in the assessment of an organization, especially board and staff leadership – the cornerstone to the effective organizations that his clients are interested in as charitable investments. As the executive director of three private foundations, he oversees grantmaking to charities nationwide. He facilitates major gifts for individual and family clients, provides counsel and execution for a donor’s grantees, works with corporate giving programs and implements foundation administration and anonymous research of prospective grantees. John presents workshops and seminars nationwide on nonprofit organizational development, effective grant making, collaborative leadership, and donor relations. He lives in Waukesha with his wife, Jamee, and two teenage children where he serves on the Financial Development and Leadership Committees for Camp Manito-wish YMCA, and on the board of Nativity Jesuit Middle School.
