by reviewing your passions. For example, If you could make only two grants in a given year, to whom would you make them? Together we will get to the heart of how you want to make a difference in society. - After confirming your charitable goals, well discuss whether
or not the establishment of a foundation is your best choice as a giving vehicle. If so, is a private or a community based foundation preferable? - If the establishment of a private foundation is appropriate
for your situation, we will review the typical operational commitments and help you decide how much time you have to devote to its affairs. - Do you already have a private foundation? If so, well talk
about issues such as your investment strategy/managers, strategic planning, staffing, and whether or not there are any new organizations that are addressing your charitable intentions in more effective and innovative ways. - We will summarize our discussions by offering an initial,
verbal summary of the services that Legacy can provide to address your specific circumstances. |  | | is presented to you that specifically outlines the services that Legacy can offer. Copies are sent to your advisors, family members, and board members upon your recommendation. Follow-up steps are planned and outlined in the proposal. A fee for services is presented to you in a separate, written document. |  | | During this step we will help you to fully understand the relationship we have proposed. We will address your concerns, answer your questions and refine the written proposal as needed. This dialog can happen via personal meetings, the telephone, or in writing. Discussions can be as frequent as you wish, and may include family members and/or your personal advisors. |  | | A final plan of engagement is presented which includes, but is not limited to: - A timeline with specific achievement targets for the first 12 months.
- A process for introducing the plan to family members, board
members, advisors or grantees as necessary. - The initiation of grant-making and operational procedures.
